For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2009 Posts: 35 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Aug 2009 Posts: 35 | I just bought an old 1940 Chevy 1/2 ton truck in pretty good shape. Problem. The steering wheel is jammed and will not move. Noticed the steering box has a drain plug and I expect it 1) has no oil; 2) water got it and possibly rusted it a bit; and/or 3) something else is tied up in the mechanism inisde. Any thoughts? And, what kind of oil should I use if it is dry? Thanks all! | | |
