Now that I know that my old truck is a '51 Chevy 3/4 ton utility truck 3600 with a '56 engine 235 inline 6 and a McCabe-Powers utility box, I'm on a mission to find the proper manuals to restore it. So far I bought the small glove compartment size Operator's Manual. It shows the basic vehicle operation and that's all it's meant to be of course. My other manual is the 1947-1954 Truck Factory Assembly Manual. Very interesting but in many application it's more than I need or want to know at this early stage. A more hands-on how to disassemble and reassemble manual (with a lot of pictures!!!) would be more my speed. I would also need a manual for the engine, being it's from a different year. What may be harder to obtain is a manual for the utility box.
Well, I'm open to suggestions since you guys have been my salvation so far, I keep coming back because I don't think this well will ever go dry.
