Before 63 the 216 and 235 and 261 were interchangeable and the early V8's were, but not 6 to V8/ V8 to 6. Sorry for the off topic, but I'm getting ready to sell my 4 speed trans and bell housing (1955 2nd series)to a guy who has a 350 SBC (in a Landcruiser). Are you saying that the 6 cyl bell housing will not work on the 350 SBC? TIA, Joe
