Soak a paper filter in gas, toss it out into the back yard, drop a match on it, and go buy a new filter!

If it's an oil bath type, use kerosene of Diesel fuel to wash the fiber packing, let it drip dry, and reassemble it with fresh oil to the proper level in the reservior.
