Here'a a
pic showing the stock linkage on a 55.1 -- the bellcrank pivot is in the forward hole, so the bellcrank is partially hidden by the exhaust outlet. Note that the rod from thew accelerator pedal pushes from the top, rotating the bellcrank ccw.

Here's a
pic showing a 62 235 with the bellcrank pivot in the aft hole. Note that it pushes from the bottom. I have no idea if this is stock for the late 235.
