hello. I have a 66 chevy c10 - with stock rear end and 350 with 350 transmission. At 65mph its running at like 3500 rpm. I'm looking for a change that will allow me highway driving. But i'm looking for bolt on. I don't want to make drive train changes. So is it best to change the gear ratio or get a different transmission. Long term i want the engine to have about 500hp. So i need a transmission that is good for that but still usable as a daily driver. Someone told me the 700 is what i should start with since it has the overdrive. But can i just bolt those on to a 350. I dont know how it all works. Any help would be muchly appreciated. Thanks!
