I think SEM has a flat black kit now, "HotRod Black" or something, that gives that "rat rod" look. I used Standox Opti Fill sealer one time to get that look, gray primer wit ha little singlestage black mix toner added to it. tho I would recommend an etching primer first if large baremetal areas, some products( urethane primers) say they adhere to bare metal, but the extra step gives some sense of insurance!
