the shifter handle will come out of the top of the tower. Its held down by two roll pin type things that come in from the side. if you push down on the ball and socket type deal and give it about an 18th of a turn counterclockwise it is spring loaded and will pop up..then you just pull it out. youll see how it works when you get it out.
