I plan on putting it in my 57 3100 but the posi has huge brackets welded on it for the Buicks rear torsion bars. My question is what is the best way to remove these big thick brackets and a few other things from the rearend when a person has no cutting torch? I also have to remove the leaf spring pads from my old chevy rearend and weld them onto the posi. I have an Arc welder and a Mig but I have no cutting torch. I could rent an oxy/acetylene outfit just for the cutting but I'm wondering how many of you have tried removing welds with a grinding wheel? | | |
