I've posted my intro to the newbie forum, basicly i just got my 66 fleetside monday and I finally got some time to play with it. Put a battery in on monday and got nothing when i turned the key on. Went out to tonight with the trusty service manual and started tracing wires with a multimeter... chassis ground is cobbled together with 3 different wires of varying thickness... replaced that and hooked the battery back up and wallah i got dash lights, woohoo
took me weeks to get this far with my old 49 packard LOL... so, it will turn over but not start, i see no spark when i pull the coil to distrib cap wire off... dinner's ready, gotta go...will ponder that one and start again when i get a chance
