| | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 1,107 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 1,107 | what i used on my 228 is krylon hosta leaf which i like call hoffa leaf. i dont know how far off the color is from olive drab and avacado. i have a set of the krylon camouflage paint system and its in ultra flat. it is a darker shade from the hosta leaf but i think unless your next to someone that used olive drab you wont notice a difference. i like the way it looks and how its holding up plus it goes on easy. since i didnt have the block or the head out of the truck i cant say how well it will hold up there, everything else i painted with it. one problem area is where the manifold bolt together over time it has burned it black and is peeling. i would like to find it in a product like duplicolor engine paint. | | |
