The ball is on the face of the flywheel and it is viewable in the opening in the clutch housing. Put the transmission into neutral and turn the fan belt until the ball shows up in the middle of opening. When the ball is in the middle of the opening, the distributor rotor should be pointing to the #1 or #6 wire on the distributor cap.
The firing order is 1-5-3-6-2-4
