Have you found www.4btswaps.com yet? it's a forum for diesel engine swaps of all kinds, and a great resource for tips, ideas, and answers while researching or performing a diesel swap.

Don't have any experience with the duramax, but as with any engine swap and restoration be prepared to spend some money. Even if you do all the work yourself the parts add up pretty quick.

I'm about 5 years into my swap now, buying parts and working on it as time and money allows.
