You haven't said what your oil pressure is, but I sure would look at a whole bunch of other things before I blamed excessive engine temp on low oil pressure. I have a nasty old International Loadstar 1700 here at work. It has a bazillion miles on it, and the oil pressure gauge usually doesn't go over 20 lbs.
It doesn't take a gob of pressure to sustain an average engine. Do a search in this forum using "oil pressure"..you'll be surprised at what you find.
The SOP in these old rigs is poor cooling system performance equals excessive engine temp equals thinned out lube! Pick those fruit flies out of yer radiator boy!!
