I'm building a hot rod trailer puller based on a '55 1st GMC 250 (1-ton). Cadillac 500 power, TH400, GM 14-bolt rear. '72 Chevy C20 IFS up front for disk brakes and power steering. 265/70-16 tires.

I plan to use the tilt-tele column from a Cadillac, power leather buckets from a Honda, 35 gallon fuel tank from a K3500.

I've seen some other modified 1-tons. There is a '50 Chevy with a 350 and automatic and the same IFS I have, that lives a couple miles from me.

Maybe 75 miles away is a another with a Cummins and the same IFS.

Is anyone else here building a modified 1-ton? If so what are you doing and what do you hope to accomplish?
