well, i can't help on pricing either. but if you take it in to a shop to have it welded in and it costs thousands, if you are like me, you will just look at it and think- i coulda done that. on the other hand, i have replaces those areas on several of those trucks myself and i hate it. endless adjusting on the cab to get everything to line up with the cab mounts, millions of tacks then filling them in, taking the doors off and adjusting them if you have to do the rockers- all real fun stuff. i would personaly be scared to let someone else start it because if they loose steam you will have to finish. this isn't something i can knock out in a day. not trying to talk you out of it at all but i like to weld and this is my least fav thing to do- you know layin on your back welding with no room to turn around.
