Thanks guys. Achipmunk I think I may have a center latch in a set of doors that I forgot about having. I am going to check it out tomorrow. I don't think it has the lower latch conected.

I will know more after I check to see what it does still have.

As to parts vehicles around here that would be a definate no. I have run so many wild goose chases that I have almost worn a daily driver out.

I did find one Friday that brought tears to my eyes. I suppose about twenty years ago a local guy that i had known since I was a kid was filling in a piece of property between the creek and highway. along the creek bank he lined it with old vehicles. You guessed it. One of them was a A D panel.

The back doors were against the bank and the cowl was pointed towards the water. The dog house was missing. The panel was angled with the back end being slightly covered with dirt about mid ways up to the rear fenders. Don't know why this vehicle was scrapped but it didn't seem to have any damage whatsoever.

And to make it worse the drainage lines from the property exited directly above the rears about ten feet. The back doors were basically gone and the wood in the floor was completly gone.

Could have knocked me down with a feather after seeing it.
