Too simple however you are correct and it fixed the issue.Upon further inspection you could see evidence of slipage on the gen pully. Can't see it untill you take the belt off and look for it.
I have to mention to others who read this , the belt was not loose by conventional methods. I'm running a 15/32 width belt. I think I will move to a 17/32 and see if that provides more bite.
