I,m putting a small block v-8 in my 55-II in replace of a 6. The exhaust manifold runs right into the gearshift linkage. I put one in a 56 2years ago & never had a problem. Also it has a bellcrank on the bell housing that wasn,t on the last one I did. Can someone tell me the difference. I,d like to keep the column shift. :confused: Thanks. George
