I just picked up my cab for my 59 last week from the body shop and have started re-assembling. A few months ago I purchased an electric wiper motor, arms and switch from a 58 on ebay. Tonight when I went to install it it will not fit. The motor hits the firewall. The cab previously had a vacuum set up that used a bracket that angled the vacuum assembly down at an angle. My question is, were the cabs made differently to accomodate the electric wipers or is there some trick or bracket that im missing? It looks exactly like the sketch in the manual.
