Hi craigheadland!

Our friend, 'Woogeroo' ( fellow bolter on this forum) sent me a note to see if I had any information to offer.
I think 'Spanky' is right--it has the louvres on the hood like Maple Leaf. I don't believe Canadian Maple Leafs were made as 2 tons. They were a heavier duty truck than Chevrolet and started at 2 1/2 ton rating. That's not to say that trucks made for Holden weren't 2 tons. If it is a 2 ton, the engine would be the 235 cu. in. (same for 2 1/2 and 3ton) From the photos it looks like a wheelbase of 160 inches. The data I have shows the cab and chassis 'curb' weight of 4640lbs. Shipping weight (minus fuel, oil and spare tire) as 4430lbs. I hope this info is of some use to you. I'm sure you'll be able to get more information from all the great people who hang out here. Best wishes on your restoration.
P.S Information using a VIN number might be available from GM Canada's Vintage Dept. at: 1908 Colonel Sam Drive, Oshawa, Ontario L1H 8P7 Canada.
George
