I'm not familiar with what he is referring to. It seems the 67 was a little different from the 68 up in that area but i'm not familiar just what the differences are. I have put the later steering gears on the 60-66 models with no problems using the bracket kits. Its possible you have the wrong pitman arm. The center link should be level with the HOROZONTAL part of the truck. The length of the pitman arm should be close to that of the idler arm. My 70 has 71 steering & front end under it & it drives beautifully.
