There was a factory bracket, however, they were only installed in states that required a front plate at time of sale. If you take a look at the splash apron under the grille on the right hand side, you will se 2 holes. They will be behind the bumper, about 1/4" below the top edge. That is were the bracket will mount. New ones are available from the reproduction parts suppliers.
