Hi guys, here is what I have. 1951 Chevrolet 3604 with original 216 engine and 4-speed transmission. I have had the truck for 3 years now and never had a transmission problem until last fall when I notice backing it out of the garage. I would begin to release the clutch and it would lurch backwards a little bit and seize up. Now, if you put it in reverse and then into second and release the clutch it sometimes will go. When everything is cold (not been started or run in a day), she takes right off, but after a couple of minutes (warming up driving), when you come to a stop, I can't take off again, the trans. freezes up again. So I put it in reverse, then second, then reverse again, and then pray it will take off, and it usually does after a little "twanggggg" from the tranny. My fluid level is full, I was afraid I had run it dry and it was seizing up. Is is the syncro's? That's my only other guess. You can feel the tranny "shutter" so I don't think it's the clutch. But I don't know, so that's why I'm asking. Thanks for your time guys! Jeff
