For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 32 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 32 | I decided to rebuild my 1955 235 cu engine that I have in my 53 Chev 1/2 ton. I purchased a cam and lifters combo, I wanted to go with the mechanical cam and lifters.Whats in it right now is hydraulic cam and lifters. Cam went in fine lifters AOK, but when I went to place in pushrods and rockers assembly it became obvious that the pushrods were to long. I looked up on Jim Carters site and saw that they sold shorter pushrods , they still seems a bit long. Has anyone else done this or came across this problem which can give some advice specifically somebody that has placed in a mechanical cam and lifters in a 235! | | |
