You say the '47 is a an AD which I'm assuming is an Advance Design and not an Art Deco. But what '55 is the axle coming off?
If the '55 is a 1st series (Advance Design) the axle swap should be workable, but if its a '55 2nd (Task Force) I don't think its a reasonable swap.
