If you had run the engine or spun the oil pump before setting it shouldn,t have lost its prime. The return from the filter is toward the front of the engine ahead of the exhaust pipe. If the outlet has a tee you can use it or the out let to the pressure gauge. You may want to spin your oil pump by takeing out the dist & using a drill with ascrewdriver blade or an old dist with the gear removed. I have a pressure cannister made from an old fire extinguiser that I put in the pressure outlet.
