Chevrolet 3100 New Guy C Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 22 Pelham, Massachusetts	Yes the sending unit is directly on top of your fuel tank, i recently replaced mine. I got a new one from Classic Industries as well as a gauge and have had no problems with it.
