39to53 228,248 is the same intake manifold. It has the small ports and the larger manifolds will not match the alignment rings. 228 from 39 to 54 are the same. Larger manifolds will fit. The outlet will be larger on the larger engine manifold, but that shouldn't present too much of a problem.
