My timing increments have rusted out on my 65 chevy. It has a 250 motor in it and i am trying to adjust the timing on my new distributor. i got the timing degree number from a fellow bolter, but since the timing plate numbers are rusted and gone (so is part of the plate) i am going to weld a new plate but i need to know what the increments would have been. He told me i need to set it at 6 degrees BTDC. Any help would be great.
