Lots of work on Brad's part ... pure enjoyment (and references) for you!
| | THANKS!
For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 90 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 90 | I also removed the doors and c-clamped a couple of 2x4s (10' I think)to the cab. 1 to the seat mount with the board evenly exteneded out both sides (this to the fwd face at the floor), the other attached at the rear and clamped to the rear door frame on each side. Now, with 4 folks I used these to lift it off of the frame. Then rolled the frame out from under. Next lower the cab onto your waiting dolly which can be made from those inexpensive 4 castor moving dollies (see Harbor Frieght) bolted together with 2x4s. Making a brace that bolts into the door openings (hinge bolts to latch side) is a good preventitive idea against any wracking that can occur. This is a milestone, have fun. cheers and good luck, Terry | | |
