For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 55 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 55 | I was wondering if the brake flange( or, brake backing plate) from an early '50 to '60 rear brake set-up would readily bolt up to the axle of my '49. I'd like to be rid of the Huck Brake system.Wish I had checked this out before I invested in the new bearings, pinion and ring. If you happen to have a truck catalog from "obsolete chevy" a review of the top and bottom of page 52 will give you an Idea what I'm getting at,It appears as if the flanges would readily change-out Any opinions?? | | |
