I use the three piece 17" with bias plys on my truck. Most good tire shops, particularly those that have been around for a while, still have a cage. I have no fear of the rims, but I would never fill a flat without a cage. Other than that, those big 17" rims look cool. Super groovers on the front, tractions on the rear, now you're truckin!
