When using a Pertronix conversion, be aware of the necessity of having the correct coil. The ohms value of the coil will either make or break your success with it. I tried The Pertronix with a standard coil of about 1.5 ohms and it didn't work (well). I now have a .06 ohm coil in hand, ready to go back to Pertronix again. MY system is 6 volt POS ground, (1167 P6) and uses the 45011 coil from Pertronix.
Don't assume that this is correct for your system. Do your homework first.
