If you do not have an owner's manual with this information, put in oil until it shows "Full" on the dip stick. Start the engine and run it for a few minutes. Turn off the engine and wait a few minutes. Look at the dip stick and add oil, if necessary. 20w oil - 10w-30 oil was most likely originally specified but up to 20w-50 oil would most likely be OK (that is what I have always used in my 1960 261). | | |
