My '41 is as stock as they come and nearly mechanically perfect in all respects. The truck only has 57000 miles on it. I've recently rebuilt the engine because the block was cracked internally. Now, I'm back on the road but my clutch isn't smooth. It never has been. I replaced the clutch and pressure plate many years ago, but they probably don't have 2000 miles on them. I had the flywheel resurfaced when I did the rebuild, and the engine has new motor mounts front and rear. I thought surely that would take all the chatter and vibration out of it but it didn't. You have to rev the engine higher than you should and slip the clutch more than you should have to to get a smooth transaction. Anybody got any ideas on wht might be wrong with it?
