Interesting. My 1/2-ton Suburban with a GMC 270 runs great empty, but gets doggy with an empty 18' trailer behind it. Loaded its really slow. I figured it was my 3.08 gears but maybe not...
I usually pull the trailer with a 454 and 4.11 gears. Easier on everything but the fuel budget.
