I have had tubeless tires on original rims for over five years and never have to add air since I put them on. I sandblasted the rims and epoxy primed and painted inside and out. I find the 16 inch rims a little narrow for the radial tires I wanted to run, so I run 7.50x15 on stock 15 inch one peice wheels.
