Went to the auto parts store yesterday, dropped $40 on Sylvania SilverStar 6024 headlights for the Grumman. Came home to install them, the tension spring broke upon disassembly.
Standard issue Chevy item for most every headlight from the mid '50's until round headlights went away.
Spring not available.
Except on Ebay, and in packs of 4{!} and packs of 25 as well. but not one parts store has them on the shelf.
Hope the seller ships quickly, I have a trip to take next weekend!
