An expensive day to be specific. SHH, don't tell my old lady!!!
Got a Starting-Line kit from DeVilbiss. It has 2 guns and came with three tips: 1.3 mm, 1.5 mm, and a 1.8 mm. Also came with the special wrench and cleaning brushes and a regulator. 139.99 on sale for 119.99... plus the DeKup plastic linner kit (not on sale unfortently)
Then by the time you add four quarts of POR-15 44.00 on sale for 39.00 & it's cleaner, and 50 lbs. of glass beads and compressor oil it adds up quickly.
Now I have two questions.
First, on the spray guns I got the plastic DeKup system. It has an adaptor the goes on the gun to accommodate the cup. When I threaded it in, the threads only caught 1.5-2 turns leaving about 75% of the threads exposed. Is this correct?? The company I bought from says they will contact me on Monday but does anyone here know??
Second, I want to protect my investment. Should I buy a fancy filter/air dryer for painting. On my Skat Blaster air supply, I have a cheap air separator with a valve on the bottom from Sears. I figured this isn't enough so can anyone point me in the right direction.

BTW I do not intend on spraying the POR-15, even if it looks like I am. I have been advised that a brush will do just fine.
