| | | | Joined: Nov 2008 Posts: 48 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Nov 2008 Posts: 48 | OK. You got MY attention when you said the motor is out of a boat! What is the year model of the engine and the displacement? Did the distributor come with the engine?
If it did, most industrial engines used a governor and the distributor does not have a vaccume advance on it.
Also to note: The 250ci. industrial engines used a higher compression ratio ( 8.7 : 1 ) and larger valves.
With the HEI distributor upgrade, a 2 bbl carb, and crane cam, they are a real hoss of a motor!
