I was going to swap in a 292 but I'm rethinking rebuilding the stock engine. the truck is a '50 farm truck with a dump bed. The engine is either a 228 or 248 I think. The engine was run out of water. What is generally damaged when this happens? I'm trying to decide whether to pick up a more modern, working engine for a couple of hundred $ and then deal with swapping it in or to overhaul what I've got if it's salvageable.
