You might want to post your year and make of truck (and/or put your truck year/make/model in your Profile), just in case there are subtle differences that people might want to bring to your attention.
It looks like the same condenser was used from 47-62 (maybe '34-'72?) and a different 6-cylinder condenser was used from '63-'76. Since 12v became standard on Chevrolet trucks in 1955-2nd series, it looks like the 6v condenser should work (maybe someone will know if pre-47 6v condensers will work with a 12v conversion).
Nonetheless, the same part numbers for condensers and points are shown for at least 1946-1962 216/235/261 engines.
Maybe the 6v condenser works because a ballast resister is used before the coil/points in 12v GM vehicles (up through 1976?)?
Points are the same (for 6v or 12v systems) - whatever fits your distributor.
