I heard a rod bearing do that once, I would have bet ANYTHING that it was a ring, the guy loosened a rod cap emery clothed the rough jounal, put the same rod bearing back (the owner needed it to use quick) and I personally saw that truck run for another 2 years.......figure that one out.
