IF Oregon was an engine number state, the engine number will be the same as the VIN listed on the title IF it still has the original engine in it. If Oregon didn't use the engine number (most states did through '55) I don't know if there is a way to tell if it's the original engine. Someone who knows more than me will have to help there.
