Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | Swapping balljoints and I beleive the outer tie rods will allow for use of the '73-'87 spindles, or the entire crossmember from the '73-'87 could be used (4 holes need to be drilled) and gain power steering at the same time. Doing this also allows you to use brakes designed for truck use. The rear axles can be swapped for later 12 bolt axles, the need to be shortened (3/4", I think) to work in the existing axle housing, plus use the later drums to change the rear to 5 lug (5x5" bolt pattern).
