I have a 54 3100 235 Hydramatic. When I take-off from a stand-still it quickly shifts up to third gear. As I try and accelerate I get what sounds like an octane ping and at the same time valve chatter/rattle. Had the head done about 1,000 miles ago with hardened seats and valves. Rockers are original as are pushrods and solid lifters. What's up and how do I solve the problem(s)? Thanks! :confused:
