Decide which truck looks the best without any cosmetic work. Do the necessary repairs to make the truck a dependable and safe daily driver. Forget the cosmetics. About half the people I talk to like the aura of an untouched truck. Concentrate on the mechanical. Drive it as often as you can. Learn to drive with many car lengths between you and the car ahead of you to allow space to stop in the quick stop that will come sooner or later. Do not start working on the second truck until the first truck is a dependable daily driver. When you do start on the second truck you will have all the knowledge gained from working on the first truck. Few things are as much fun as driving your old truck around town.
