I would suggest you contact Newport for detailed instructions. Maybe a GMC is just enough you could install the wiper incorrectly. It is also possible you have the wrong application motor. In my 52 Chevy the only way to install it wrong would involve making nrw arms and drilling holes in places that shouldn't have them, I don't think the geometry of the arms would let it work. There is something definatly amiss here. Also if you don't already have a shop manual, and an assembly manual purchase them as soon as you can. I thought I could get by with the shop manual, I soon learned that the assembly manual is also a valuable tool. I now am looking for Chevy manuals for all parts of the truck. Body service, 3 speed transmossion, ect. That is just to have the reference materials incase I need them.
