that sounds about right you will problably have to change your bell housing to go to a chevy engine you may be able to reuse your clutch but you would need a different flywheel it all depends on the bellhousing bolt pattern not to familar with the old poncho engines-do not know if the ones from the 60s are the same bolt pattern-you will need to research....timbuk
